Below you will find information regarding the selection and rules for completing obligatory internships at the Krakow University of Economics.

Rules for completing obligatory internships

Before starting an internship, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the rules on how to pass it. At Krakow University of Economics, the rules for undergoing student internships are regulated by:

  • Order of the Rector of UEKNo. R.0211.4.2025 of 27 January 2025 on the detailed organization of student professional internships.
  • Study plans approved by the Faculty Councils– in accordance with the National Qualification Framework and with education standards at individual fields of study. Information about the number of hours should be in the plan and on the subject card. If it is not visible, you should contact the internship supervisor who is responsible for the subject card.

Obligatory internships step by step:

The following is a brief procedure for selecting compulsory internships at KUE:

  1. Choosing a company
    The first step is to choose a company for your mandatory internship.
  2. Application for the implementation of the internship in the EOD system
    Log in to the EOD system and submit an application for the implementation of the internship in the Student Internships application.Instructions are available here.

INSURANCE

A mandatory attachment to the internship agreement is a document confirming that the student has purchased civil liability insurance (OC) and accident insurance (NNW) for the period of the student internship, which, in accordance with the procedure for crediting the student internship, must be attached in the EOD system. CREDIT FOR PREACTIVITY THROUGH WORK / INTERNSHIP / VOLUNTEERING

If you wish to count your work/internship/volunteering as part of your compulsory professional practice,
select the appropriate option when submitting your application for the internship in the EOD system.

Additional internships

In addition to compulsory student practice, we encourage you to gain professional experience through voluntary student practices. Each practice is a chance to gain valuable experience, learn about the company’s organizational culture, face duties and challenges in the professional environment.
