Among the main ceremonies of our University are:

• University Day,

commemorating the founding of the Higher School of Commerce (Wyższego Studium Handlowego) in 1925, celebrated on May 28 as a holiday for the entire academic community,

• Remembrance Day,

dedicated to the memory of professors and other members of the academic community arrested in 1939 by the German occupiers, as well as all deceased University staff, observed on November 6,

• Academic Year Inauguration,

the most important occasion, conducted according to an established order,

• Doctoral and Habilitation Promotions,

held once a year during the ceremonial session of the Senate and Faculty Councils on the occasion of University Day. The oath-taking ceremony for habilitated doctors and doctors takes place collectively for all promoted individuals, with individual presentations arranged according to a faculty rotation that changes annually,

• Promotion of Doctor honoris causa,

during which the ceremonial Senate session is attended by the Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans,
